About Alaam
Alaam (أعلام) is Arabic for "signs" and "flags". The site collects small tools that turn text into signs and back: ancient scripts, classic ciphers, Morse code and signal flags.
How the tools are made
- Every tool runs in your browser. Text you type is not sent to a server.
- Sign tables are checked against the Unicode standard and published sign lists, and each page says plainly what the tool can and cannot do. A tool that writes your name in an old alphabet is not a translator of the old language, and we say so.
- Each page has a "How we tested" section that lists only tests we actually ran.

If a sign, a sound value or a fact looks wrong, please tell us which page and what you expected. Corrections are welcome.
